In April 20 testimony, Depp said an angry Heard left a “fecal delivery” of human excrement in the couple’s bed. But on Monday, Heard disgustedly dismissed the notion that she was responsible.
Heard told the court that the couple’s dog “Boo” had been struggling with bowel-control issues ever since, as a puppy, he ingested a bag of “Johnny’s weed”. She explained that she left their two dogs on the bed while she packed for the Coachella Music Festival and did not notice one of them had an accident.
Depp wasn't convinced: "They're teacup Yorkies," he said. "They weight about 4 pounds each. The photograph that I saw — I lived with those dogs for many years. It was not the dogs… I didn't feel like I deserved that kind of treatment."

This issue of "fecal delivery" prompted an entire sketch at SNL on May 14, 2022.

However, the sketch didn't go down all that well with viewers. Several Tweeter users complained that:
- It was inadequate to treat like that a serious case of defamation and domestic abuse.
- Portraying servants as black while lawyers as white was racist.
- "so y'all saw a case involving testimonies about domestic violence, substance abuse, sexual assault, emotional trauma, mental illness, and medical emergencies including people losing actual body parts… and your first thought was 'this would be a funny sketch for our comedy show!'"
- "the amount of people involved in snl and nobody thought 'hey maybe this should be off limits' ???"
- "Regardless of your thoughts on amber/johnny, making an SNL skit out of an ongoing domestic violence trial is weird as hell and does nothing to support victims of violence"
- "It's inexcusable to make light of domestic violence in this way. Then they portrayed all the lawyers and judge as white and the 'help' were all black with the maid being a caricature of an immigrant Latina. This is so racist and insensitive. What year is this from again?"
- "this is fucking weird. regardless if you support any of the two in this trial to any extent, it's bizarre how one of the most publicised domestic abuses caes ever is being spun into a really shit joke. this doesn't help victims of abuse at all, and just makes it harder to discuss"
- "The grotesque SNL skit 'parodying' the Depp v heard trial is a direct result of the behaviour of Depp supporters on the internet. This phenomenon of openly mocking & sensationalising domestic violence & s*xual assault on social media is bleeding into every cultural space possible"
- "It doesn't matter who you believe in this case, a domestic abuse trial should not have been turned into a public show and then used as a skit, people are treating it as if it was a public show"
